A look inside a dream.

dream (c) 2011 Kristen Stein

On our last trip to Spain to visit my husband's family, we took a few extra days to travel around Rome, Italy and Vatican City. We also spent time in my husband's home region of Valencia, Spain. I was excited to see La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of the Arts and Sciences) built in the former TĂșria river-bed and designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.  The structures built there look as if they were pulled directly from Calatrava's dreams. They are nothing short of spectacular! We had a gorgeous day with bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky.  This gave a beautiful glow to the white structures against the azure sky.

I put together a collection of abstract photographs of some of the amazing architectural elements. But, these are structures that are best seen in person. They are amazing! Truly like getting a glimpse of a Calatrava dream.
